Role Description The Crane Design Engineer will be responsible for designing, analyzing, and optimizing specialized crane and bridge construction equipment, ensuring safety, reliability, and compliance with relevant standards. Day-to-day tasks include developing and reviewing mechanical and structural designs, preparing detailed CAD models and drawings, performing calculations and simulations, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams on equipment configuration and integration. The role involves supporting project execution with technical documentation, resolving design-related issues during fabrication and erection, and contributing to continuous improvement of existing product lines. This is a full-time, on-site role located in the Pune Division, working closely with global engineering teams and clients to deliver robust and efficient design solutions.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Design Engineering and Product Design, with experience in industrial or heavy equipment applications.
Candidates should possess Mechanical Engineering expertise, including structural analysis, material selection, and load-bearing design for cranes or bridge construction equipment.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for 3D modeling, detailing, and preparation of manufacturing drawings.
Candidates should possess basic to intermediate Electrical Engineering knowledge related to crane control systems, drives, and integration with mechanical components.
Relevant qualifications such as a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field; a master’s degree or specialization in structural/mechanical design is an advantage.
Experience in bridge construction equipment, cranes, or heavy machinery design, and familiarity with international design codes and standards is highly beneficial.
Strong problem-solving abilities, attention to detail, and capability to work collaboratively in multidisciplinary and cross-cultural teams.
Effective written and verbal communication skills in English, and the ability to document designs and present technical concepts clearly.
