Erection Engineer – Launching Gantry / MSF / ETC
Experience: 2–8 Years
Qualification: Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering preferred
Location: Pune / Pimpri-Chinchwad, Maharashtra
Work Mode: Full-time, On-site / Client Project Sites
Travel: Willingness to travel to project sites across India as required

NRS Bridge Construction India Pvt. Ltd. is engaged in specialized engineering and construction solutions for bridge and infrastructure projects. The company works on complex bridge construction and erection activities involving specialized machinery and equipment.
We are looking for a hands-on Erection Engineer who can independently support the erection, operation, testing and commissioning of specialized bridge-construction machinery such as Launching Gantry, MSF and ETC, at client project sites.
Role Overview
The Erection Engineer will be responsible for supervising and executing the installation, assembly, erection, alignment, operation support, testing and commissioning of heavy mechanical and structural equipment at client sites.
The role requires strong practical knowledge of mechanical/structural erection, interpretation of engineering drawings, site coordination, troubleshooting and safe execution of erection activities.
Key Responsibilities
Erection & Installation
Execute and supervise erection and installation of Launching Gantry, MSF, ETC and associated mechanical/structural equipment.
Supervise assembly, fit-up, alignment and installation of equipment and structural members at project sites.
Ensure erection activities are carried out as per approved drawings, method statements and engineering specifications.
Coordinate lifting, positioning, alignment and assembly activities with site teams and contractors.
Monitor equipment installation and ensure proper completion of mechanical connections, bolting, welding and associated assembly activities.
Site Execution
Review engineering drawings, GA drawings, fabrication drawings and technical documentation before and during erection.
Plan daily erection activities and coordinate manpower, tools, equipment and resources.
Coordinate with Project Managers, Site Engineers, Fabrication Teams, Vendors and Contractors.
Monitor site progress against project schedules and report deviations.
Conduct site inspections and ensure proper workmanship and dimensional accuracy.
Machinery Operation & Troubleshooting
Support operation and trial runs of Launching Gantry, MSF, ETC and related equipment.
Identify and resolve mechanical, hydraulic or structural issues during erection and operation.
Coordinate troubleshooting with design, engineering, fabrication and vendor teams.
Support preventive maintenance and ensure equipment readiness before operation.
Testing & Commissioning
Support testing, trial operation, commissioning and performance verification of machinery.
Assist in load testing, functional testing and final inspection activities wherever applicable.
Prepare commissioning records, inspection reports and installation documentation.
Support client inspection, acceptance and handover activities.
Safety & Quality
Ensure strict compliance with site safety procedures and company safety requirements.
Follow approved erection methodologies and risk-control measures.
Identify site risks and communicate unsafe conditions immediately.
Ensure erection work complies with approved engineering specifications and quality standards.
Coordinate with QA/QC teams for inspection and closure of quality issues.
Required Skills & Experience
Diploma / B.E. / B.Tech. in Mechanical Engineering preferred.
2–8 years of relevant experience in mechanical erection, industrial equipment installation or heavy engineering projects.
Hands-on experience in erection and installation of heavy machinery, structural equipment, cranes, bridge equipment or similar systems.
Strong understanding of mechanical and structural erection practices.
Ability to read and interpret GA drawings, fabrication drawings, assembly drawings and technical specifications.
Practical knowledge of alignment, leveling, fit-up, bolting, welding and mechanical assembly.
Experience in site supervision and contractor/manpower coordination.
Good troubleshooting and problem-solving ability.
Basic knowledge of MS Office and AutoCAD or similar engineering software.
Good communication skills for working with clients, contractors, vendors and internal teams.
Strong commitment to safety, quality and project timelines.

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a hands-on site engineer, not purely an office-based design or planning professional.
The ideal candidate should be comfortable working at client locations, supervising actual equipment erection, resolving site issues, coordinating with multiple teams and taking ownership until the machinery is successfully commissioned and handed over.
