About the Role:
We are looking for a dynamic and passionate Journalist – Travel & Tourism to join our Editorial team. This role focuses on journalistic reporting of travel and tourism industry news, including aviation, hospitality, destination marketing, travel technology, and policy developments.
This role is not related to TV show scripting or production.
The ideal candidate is curious about the travel ecosystem and has a strong journalistic mindset, with the ability to create insightful, data-driven stories for industry professionals and stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Content Creation & Reporting
Research and write both short-form and long-form articles on travel trends, destination analysis, airline and hotel insights, and industry news
Create engaging B2B newsletters with actionable insights
2. Industry & Market Research
Analyse tourism board data, destination reports, and market trends
Track policy changes, demand signals, and key industry developments
Build and maintain a strong industry network by connecting with peers, partners, and stakeholders across the travel and tourism ecosystem
3. Content Optimisation
Ensure articles follow SEO best practices
Create content that drives engagement and shares
4. Event Coverage
Attend virtual and physical travel events, expos, and summits
Deliver post-event reports and conduct exclusive interviews
Ideal Candidate Profile:
Bachelor’s degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, or a related field
2+ years of experience in journalism (travel, hospitality, or business coverage preferred)
Excellent writing, interviewing, and reporting skills
Strong understanding of digital publishing platforms and basic SEO
Ability to meet tight deadlines and work independently or collaboratively
