Role Description The SOC Analyst Junior Trainee is a full-time remote role responsible for supporting security monitoring and incident analysis within Tracelay’s Agentic SOC environment. In this role, the trainee will assist in reviewing security alerts, triaging events, and escalating potential incidents under the guidance of senior analysts. Day-to-day activities include participating in cyber threat hunting tasks, contributing to basic threat intelligence analysis, and documenting findings in a clear and structured manner. The trainee will work with SOC tools and platforms, learn to interpret logs and security telemetry, and help maintain playbooks and procedures. This position offers hands-on exposure to real-world cyber defense operations, with structured mentoring and training to develop into a fully independent SOC analyst.

Qualifications: Strong interest and foundational knowledge in Security Operations Center environments and Cybersecurity principles.
Ability to develop and apply Cyber Threat Hunting (CTH) techniques and understand Cyber Threat Intelligence (CTI) sources and use cases.
Demonstrated Analytical Skills, including logical thinking, pattern recognition, and attention to detail when working with security data.
Familiarity with basic networking, operating systems, and common security tools (SIEM, EDR/XDR) is beneficial.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to document incidents and collaborate with team members.
Ability to learn quickly, follow structured workflows, and work reliably in a remote, distributed team setting.
Relevant certifications or coursework (e.g., Security+, CYSA+, SOC training, or equivalent) are a plus.
Willingness to work in rotating schedules to support 24/7 SOC operations, as needed.
