We’re hiring an experienced Associate Director – Salesforce Technical to provide technical leadership and end-to-end delivery oversight for enterprise Salesforce programs.
This is a senior leadership opportunity for a highly experienced Salesforce professional with strong expertise in Salesforce platform architecture, engineering delivery, Agile methodologies, DevOps, technical project management, stakeholder management, and people leadership.
In this role, you will lead Salesforce engineering teams, oversee end-to-end project delivery, drive technical excellence, and ensure Salesforce solutions align with enterprise architecture, security, governance, and business objectives.
You will work closely with business stakeholders, Product Owners, Solution Architects, Technical Architects, developers, administrators, and QA teams to deliver scalable, secure, and high-quality Salesforce solutions.
🎯 What You’ll Do
Project & Delivery Management
Lead end-to-end delivery of Salesforce projects, ensuring scope, timelines, and quality targets are met.
Own sprint planning, release management, and delivery governance processes.
Identify and mitigate project risks, issues, and dependencies.
Drive continuous improvement in delivery processes and overall team performance.
Monitor and report delivery performance, project outcomes, milestones, and key metrics to senior leadership.
Team Leadership
Manage and mentor Salesforce developers, administrators, QA engineers, and technical resources.
Conduct performance reviews and establish skill development and career growth plans.
Support workforce planning, resource allocation, and capability development.
Create and enable learning and development plans to keep teams up to date with Salesforce core and emerging technologies.
Build an inclusive, collaborative, and high-performing engineering environment.
Ensure team members are engaged, valued, supported, and recognized for their contributions.
Stakeholder & Communication
Partner with Product Owners, business stakeholders, Technical Architects, and Solution Architects to clarify requirements and translate them into delivery plans.
Communicate project status, risks, dependencies, decisions, and outcomes to senior leadership.
Manage expectations, resource requirements, delivery priorities, and competing business demands.
Coordinate effectively across multiple teams and workstreams.
Technical & Platform Oversight
Review Salesforce technical designs and solution architecture to ensure alignment with enterprise standards.
Promote best practices across Apex, LWC, Flows, integrations, and data management.
Provide technical leadership across Salesforce development and implementation initiatives.
Coordinate CI/CD pipelines, environment strategy, release processes, and DevOps practices.
Drive adoption of Salesforce DevOps tools such as Copado, Gearset, Git, and related technologies.
Ensure adherence to Salesforce security, compliance, architecture, and governance frameworks.
Quality & Process Management
Oversee QA processes, test planning, regression testing, defect management, and UAT support.
Ensure appropriate quality gates and deployment controls throughout the Salesforce development lifecycle.
Maintain technical documentation, change management, and release management practices.
Drive continuous improvement in development standards, Agile methodologies, engineering practices, and delivery processes.
🧠 What We’re Looking For
20+ years of experience in Salesforce engineering delivery, technical project management, or technology leadership.
Strong understanding of Salesforce platform architecture, configuration, development, and application lifecycle.
Proven experience leading Agile teams and delivering iterative Salesforce releases.
Strong experience managing and mentoring Salesforce engineering teams.
Excellent technical leadership, communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skills.
Ability to coordinate across multiple workstreams and competing priorities.
Strong understanding of API integrations, data migration, and enterprise architecture concepts.
Knowledge of Salesforce technologies including Apex, LWC, Flows, integrations, and data management.
Experience with Salesforce DevOps, CI/CD pipelines, Git-based workflows, Copado, Gearset, or equivalent tools.
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and delivery management capabilities.
Ability to work effectively with global business and technology stakeholders.
⭐ Preferred Skills & Certifications
Relevant Salesforce certifications are highly desirable.
Experience leading large-scale Salesforce transformation programs.
Experience with enterprise Salesforce implementations and complex integration landscapes.
Strong knowledge of Salesforce release management, environment strategy, DevOps, security, and governance.
Experience working with globally distributed engineering and Agile teams.
