Role Description The Academic Counsellor / Sr Academic Counsellor will provide end-to-end guidance to prospective and current learners, helping them choose suitable programs and navigate their academic journey. Responsibilities include conducting counseling sessions, understanding learners’ educational and career goals, recommending appropriate courses, and supporting them through admissions and onboarding processes. The role involves maintaining regular communication with learners, addressing queries, tracking progress, and coordinating with faculty and internal teams to ensure a positive learning experience. The counsellor will also contribute to career counseling initiatives, informational sessions, and outreach activities to support learner success. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Delhi, India.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Student Counseling and Academic Advising, with the ability to understand learner needs and guide them effectively.
Excellent Communication skills, including clear verbal and written communication, active listening, and interpersonal abilities.
Experience or training in Career Counseling, with the capacity to help learners align programs with long-term career goals.
Background or formal education in Education or a related field, enabling informed guidance on academic pathways.
Bachelor’s degree or higher in Psychology, Education, Counseling, Management, or a related discipline.
Ability to build trust, handle sensitive conversations, and work with diverse learner profiles in a professional, non-discriminatory manner.
Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and comfort working with CRM or student management systems.
Prior experience in academic or career counseling, edtech, or higher education institutions is preferred.
