Chemist, Analytical Laboratory & Calibration

Sunshine Vegetables is hiring a Chemist — Analytical Laboratory & Calibration at Sikandrabad, Bulandshahr.
Water is the part of this job people underestimate. Wash water, blanch make-up and glaze water all sit upstream of the product, which means the chemistry of what goes into the line decides a good deal of what comes out of it.
We are FSSC 22000 certified. In a certified plant an uncalibrated instrument is not an inconvenience, it is a finding — and every result you release has to be traceable to an instrument that was in calibration on the day.
What the role owns:
- The chemical and physical testing laboratory — moisture, ash, pH, brix, drained weight, sieve analysis, colour and texture against specification
- Process and potable water testing, and the sanitiser control that goes with it
- The calibration programme across plant and laboratory instruments — schedule, records, traceability to national standards, and out-of-calibration impact assessment
- Certificates of analysis for dispatched consignments
- The external NABL laboratory relationship — pesticide MRL, heavy metals, nutritional panels. You own the sampling plan and read the reports critically
- Reagent standardisation, laboratory consumables, records and GLP
What we are looking for:
- M.Sc in Chemistry, Food Technology or Analytical Chemistry, with 2–10 years in a food or process laboratory
- Hands-on with routine wet chemistry and instrumental analysis — you prepare and standardise your own volumetric solutions
- Instrument calibration experience: pH meter, balance, moisture analyser, refractometer, titrator
- You have kept laboratory records under a certified system and know how they get audited
What will make you stand out:
- NABL laboratory background, or participation in inter-laboratory comparison and internal quality control samples
- Kjeldahl, Soxhlet, UV spectrophotometry, or HPLC and GC method work
- Water and effluent chemistry across WTP, RO and ETP
- FSSAI labelling and legal metrology knowledge for retail and export packs
