The Role:
As an SDR specializing in IP, you will be the tip of the spear in our growth strategy. You won't just be "making calls" or writing emails; you will engage with Partners and IP Ops Heads in law firms across the US. Your mission is to identify organizations with complex patent portfolios and demonstrate how our solutions can mitigate risk, streamline filings, or unlock the value of their intangible assets.
Core Responsibilities:
Strategic Prospecting: Research Europe-based corporations and Law firms to identify key stakeholders involved in patent prosecution, litigation, and portfolio management.
Insight-Led Outreach: Craft highly personalized, multi-channel sequences (Email, LinkedIn, Phone) that leverage specific triggers, such as recent USPTO, EPO filings, litigation news, or corporate M&A activity.
Discovery & Qualification: Conduct high-level discovery calls to understand a prospect's current IP challenges and qualify them for our Account Executives.
Pipeline Management: Maintain a clean and organized CRM, ensuring every touchpoint with a US corporate lead is documented and followed up on with precision.
Market Intelligence: Stay abreast of trends in the US and EU patent landscape
This role will require you to allocate approximately 80% of your time to prospecting in the EU region (Corporates and Law Firms) and the remaining 20% to engaging with corporate prospects in the US.
The Ideal Candidate: We are looking for a professional who is comfortable navigating the formal, high-stakes world of corporate law while maintaining the persistence and energy of a high-performing sales hunter.
Key Qualifications:
IP Literacy: A foundational understanding of the IP lifecycle is mandate (from invention disclosure to patent issuance and enforcement). Experience with the US and European patent system is highly preferred.
Corporate Navigation: Proven ability to map out complex European and US corporate hierarchies and reach decision-makers in Legal or R&D departments.
Exceptional Communication: Mastery of the English language with a focus on "Business Professional" tone. You must be able to explain complex value propositions concisely.
Tech Stack Proficiency: Experience with CRM tools (HubSpot) and sales intelligence platforms (e.g., LinkedIn Sales Navigator, LeadIQ).
Resilience & Discipline: A track record of hitting or exceeding quotas in a B2B environment, specifically within the EU and US market and its associated time zones.
Intellectual Curiosity: A genuine interest in how technology and law intersect. You should enjoy learning about new inventions and the legal frameworks that protect them.
Preferred Experience:
Degree in science, humanities or any other business discipline
Previous outbound experience in LegalTech, Fintech, or specialized Consulting sales.
