Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced Quality Inspector with 10+ years of experience in quality inspection, testing, vendor quality, and regulatory compliance. The candidate will be responsible for ensuring product quality from incoming materials through production, in-process inspection, and finished products.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement Quality Control Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, SOPs, and quality standards.
Conduct quality inspections at incoming material, production, in-process, and finished product stages.
Identify, document, and report defects, deviations, and non-conformities to management.
Manage NCR, root cause analysis, CAPA, and corrective action follow-up.
Support new vendor development, supplier evaluation, and new product development.
Conduct quality inspections/audits at manufacturing and vendor facilities; willingness to travel is essential.
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001, BIS, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Maintain inspection reports, test records, quality documentation, and certificates.
Coordinate with external laboratories and certification agencies as required.
Operate inspection/lab equipment such as Vernier Caliper, Screw Gauge, Thickness Gauge, Torque Tester, Push-Pull Meter, etc.
Communicate quality issues and recommendations effectively to the Operations Head and management.
Preferred Industry & Technical Knowledge:
Experience in Toys, Furniture, Textile, Paper/Paper Products, or similar manufacturing industries preferred.
Good knowledge of BIS processes and documentation.
Familiarity with EN 71, ASTM, CE, G-Mark and other relevant testing/certification requirements.
Candidate Profile:
10+ years of relevant Quality Control/Inspection experience.
Strong practical knowledge of inspection, testing, documentation, and quality systems.
Good analytical, problem-solving, communication, and reporting skills.
Diploma/Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Quality, Manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
