Summary
The Technical Manager - Partner Alliances owns the technical execution, validation, and ongoing health of all integrations delivered through outsourced vendors and technology partners. This role sits at the technical core of the Partner Alliances function - setting up and configuring third-party integrations, validating that delivered work meets functional, security, and design standards, maintaining compatibility as partner applications evolve, and enabling internal teams to represent these integrations confidently to customers.
Roles and Responsibility
Define the integration method (API, SDK, or Webhook) for each new project.
Assess the technical feasibility of the proposed integration scope.
Identify and flag Product enhancement requirements to the internal Software team.
Handle the hands-on setup, configuration, and enablement of integrations across multiple technology systems.
Coordinate with internal API and Product teams to ensure required APIs, environments, and access are available before integration activities begin.
Validate integrations developed by outsourced vendors and technology partners against defined functional and technical specifications before go-live.
Track the latest versions of integrated third-party applications and assess backward compatibility. Proactively identify and recommend upgrades required for existing integrations.
Prepare and maintain technical documentation, brochures, and demo videos for working integrations.
Conduct hands-on training for Presales and Customer Success teams on integration capabilities and usage.
Knowledge and Skills Required
Understanding of how software integrations work and hands-on knowledge of integration methodologies - APIs (REST/SOAP), SDKs, and Webhooks.
Working knowledge of API security concepts (OAuth, API keys, token-based auth) and general web application architecture.
Understanding of UI/UX guidelines sufficient to validate third-party or vendor-built integration interfaces against internal design standards.
Ability to independently test integrations as well as review technical documentation and architecture.
A strong written and verbal communication skill - this role documents technical findings and also trains non-technical internal teams.
Comfortable working across multiple concurrent projects with vendors, technology partners, and internal engineering teams.
Experience and Education:
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electronics and Communication Engineering, or a related field
8-10 years of experience in a technical integration, solutions engineering, technical presales, or API implementation role.
Experience working with operating systems (Windows, Linux), databases (MS SQL & PostgreSQL), installation, configuration, and setup of multiple software Applications.
Prior experience working with software vendors or technology partners is preferred.
Exposure to physical/logical access control and other security software (VMS, Intercom, BMS, etc) or enterprise SaaS integrations is a plus.
