Role Description The Senior Executive Purchase role is a full-time, on-site position based in Rajkot. The individual in this role will manage end-to-end purchasing activities, including identifying and evaluating suppliers, obtaining quotations, negotiating prices and terms, and ensuring timely procurement of raw materials, components, and services. Daily responsibilities include monitoring inventory levels, raising and tracking purchase orders, coordinating with production and stores teams, and resolving delivery or quality issues in collaboration with suppliers. The Senior Executive Purchase will maintain accurate procurement records, support cost-control initiatives, uphold quality and compliance standards, and contribute to continuous improvement in the purchasing process to support efficient chain manufacturing operations.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of procurement processes, vendor management, and negotiation for manufacturing or engineering-related materials.
Experience in inventory control, purchase order management, and coordination with production, stores, and quality assurance teams.
Ability to analyze pricing, lead times, and supplier performance to support cost optimization and reliable supply.
Proficiency with ERP or purchasing software, spreadsheets, and basic data analysis for tracking and reporting procurement activities.
Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to build professional relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers.
Prior experience in industrial manufacturing, mechanical components, or supply chain operations is highly beneficial.
Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Supply Chain Management, Commerce, Business Administration, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is preferred.
Demonstrated ability to work on-site in a fast-paced environment, manage multiple priorities, and support continuous process improvement.
