Role Description The UK Counsellor will provide end-to-end guidance to students seeking admission to universities and colleges in the United Kingdom. In this full-time remote role, the counsellor will assess student profiles, recommend suitable programs and institutions, and explain entry requirements and timelines. Day-to-day tasks include conducting virtual counseling sessions, supporting students with application forms and documentation, advising on test preparation (such as IELTS), and providing information on scholarships and funding options. The counsellor will also coordinate with internal teams and partner institutions, maintain accurate student records, and follow up regularly with applicants to ensure a smooth admissions and visa process.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of UK higher education systems, admission criteria, and popular universities and programs.
Experience in academic counseling, student advisory services, or study abroad consulting, preferably focused on the UK.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to conduct clear, structured online counseling sessions.
Proficiency in using digital tools and CRM or student management platforms to track inquiries and applications.
Ability to analyze student profiles and provide tailored guidance on courses, institutions, and career pathways.
Attention to detail and strong organizational skills for managing multiple applications and deadlines simultaneously.
Familiarity with standardized tests such as IELTS and basic understanding of scholarship and financial aid options.
Bachelor’s degree in any discipline; a background in education, counseling, or international relations is an advantage.
Demonstrated ability to work independently in a remote environment and collaborate effectively with distributed teams.
Prior experience working with diverse student populations and a commitment to inclusive, non-discriminatory advising practices.
