Role: Senior Liferay Full-Stack Developer
Position Type: Full-Time Contract (40hrs/week)
Contract Duration: 6 months with extension
Work Schedule: 8 hours/day (Mon-Fri)
Work Hours: 3:30am-11:30am ET
Location: Hybrid 3 days onsite in Pune, India
About the Role
We are seeking a Senior Liferay Full-Stack Developer to design, develop, and support enterprise portal applications using Liferay DXP 7.4, Java, React, and modern web technologies. This is a hands-on role requiring strong Liferay expertise, independent problem-solving, and the ability to work across both backend and frontend applications.
Key Responsibilities
Design, develop, and support enterprise portal applications using Liferay DXP 7.4.
Build and customize Liferay solutions using OSGi, Service Builder, Liferay Objects, REST APIs, and Liferay architecture.
Develop backend services and integrations using Java, Spring Boot, Jakarta EE, and REST APIs.
Build and maintain modern frontend applications using React, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Integrate React applications with Liferay and backend services.
Troubleshoot complex issues across the Liferay and React application stack.
Develop unit and integration tests and participate in code reviews.
Support deployments, upgrades, CI/CD, and production releases.
Follow best practices for security, performance, scalability, and maintainability.
Work independently with minimal supervision and provide technical guidance to team members.
Required Qualifications
7+ years of software development experience.
5+ years of hands-on Liferay DXP development experience.
Strong recent experience with Liferay DXP 7.4.
Strong hands-on experience with:
OSGi
Service Builder
Liferay Objects
REST APIs / Headless APIs
Liferay architecture
Strong Java/Jakarta EE development experience.
Strong React experience with JavaScript and/or TypeScript.
Experience with enterprise application integrations and REST services.
Experience with JUnit or similar unit-testing frameworks.
Experience with Git and basic CI/CD/DevOps practices.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
