Product Lifecycle Management Consultant

PLM Services Professionals
Softcell is looking for professionals across different experience levels and roles within its PLM Services team. The team is responsible for consulting, solution design, implementation, integration, migration, training and support for Product Lifecycle Management solutions, primarily based on the PTC Windchill suite.
Selected candidates may work on assignments ranging from installations and upgrades to enterprise-wide PLM implementations, business-process transformation, data migration and integration with CAD, ERP, MRP and other enterprise systems. Depending on their experience and expertise, candidates may contribute as consultants, developers, solution architects, project leads or support professionals.
Responsibilities
Depending on the role and level of experience, responsibilities may include:
Engage with customers and internal stakeholders to understand business and technical requirements.
Participate in discovery, blueprinting and process-mapping workshops.
Define functional and technical requirements for PDM, PLM, change management, migration and integration projects.
Design, configure, customise, implement and support PLM solutions.
Develop technical specifications for customisations, workflows, reports and integrations.
Support installations, upgrades, system administration and performance optimisation.
Plan and execute data migration and validation activities.
Integrate PLM platforms with CAD, ERP, MRP and other enterprise applications.
Contribute to solution proposals, project plans, effort estimates and statements of work.
Work with project managers to monitor deliverables, timelines, dependencies and scope.
Identify project risks and recommend appropriate mitigation measures.
Support user acceptance testing, deployment, documentation and end-user training.
Troubleshoot functional and technical issues and provide timely resolutions.
Apply relevant implementation methodologies, quality standards and industry best practices.
Collaborate with and mentor other members of the consulting and delivery teams.
Support pre-sales activities, demonstrations, solution workshops and proof-of-concept engagements, where required.
Build strong customer relationships and contribute to successful project outcomes.
Requirements
Requirements will vary according to the role and level of seniority:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science or a related discipline; equivalent relevant experience may also be considered.
Relevant experience in PLM consulting, implementation, development, administration, integration, migration or support.
Experience with PTC Windchill is preferred; exposure to other enterprise PLM or PDM platforms may also be considered.
Understanding of one or more areas such as product data management, bill of materials, document management, change management, configuration management, workflows or manufacturing processes.
Familiarity with CAD applications and integration between CAD, PLM and enterprise systems.
Technical experience in Windchill configuration, customisation, upgrades, integrations or data migration will be advantageous for relevant roles.
Experience in the discrete manufacturing sector is preferred.
Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills.
Ability to work collaboratively across customer, functional and technical teams.
Willingness to travel to customer locations when required.
Relevant PTC or PLM certifications will be an advantage.
