Job Summary:
Completes diagnostics, repairs and maintenance on chassis products in a service workshop under limited supervision.
We are looking for a talented Chassis Technician/Mechanic to join our Distribution business in (Ocala, FL).

You will make an impact in the following ways:
Complete complex repairs on chassis and chassis components in a service workshop
Disassemble, clean, and inspect chassis and related components
Perform preventive maintenance based on chassis and component assessments
Assist experienced technicians with diagnostics and the development of repair plans
Use mechanical and electronic diagnostic tools to identify and resolve issues
Complete required service documentation, including work orders, time sheets, warranty claims, and quality documents
Adhere to Cummins Health, Safety & Environmental policies and procedures
Complete ongoing training and development based on business and skill requirements
Maintain tools and the work area for cleanliness and proper operation
CDL beneficial but not required.
Education, Licenses, Certifications:
Apprentice Trained Technician (Preferred).
Vocational diploma from relevant technical institution.
Locally valid driving permit
This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.
Experience:
Intermediate level knowledge of and/or experience with chassis products
Compensation and Benefits
Base salary rate commensurate with experience. In order to be successful in this role, you will need the following:
Intermediate knowledge of and/or experience with chassis products
Experience repairing and maintaining mechanical and electrical systems
Ability to use diagnostic software and electronic service tools
Understanding of engine systems, including electrical, mechanical, fuel, exhaust, cooling, driveline, aftertreatment, controls, and sensors
Ability to troubleshoot issues, follow documented repair procedures, and escalate complex technical concerns when necessary
Strong service documentation, communication, customer focus, safety awareness, and adaptability
Vocational diploma from a relevant technical institution; apprentice-trained technician preferred
Locally valid driver’s license
CDL is beneficial but not required
