We are looking for a talented Production Team Associate to join our team specializing in Manufacturing for our Cummins Inc. facility in Columbus, IN.
In this role, you will make an impact in the following ways:
Ensuring Safety: By stopping work and reporting major injury hazards immediately, you’ll help maintain a safe working environment.
Compliance and Reporting: Adhering to HSE standards and promptly reporting any work-related injuries, illnesses, incidents, or hazards will ensure compliance and promote a culture of safety.
Environmental Stewardship: Recognizing and minimizing the negative impact of your work on the environment will contribute to sustainable practices
Quality Improvement: Actively searching for improvement opportunities and implementing workable solutions will enhance quality and reduce costs.
Process Efficiency: Developing and leading projects that support continuous improvement will improve quality, safety, processes, and employee development.
Team Leadership: Leading and coordinating team members, especially those with less capability, will foster a collaborative and supportive work environment.
Operational Excellence: Facilitating and applying Cummins Operating System (COS) practices and Operations Excellence (OE) methodology will drive operational efficiency throughout the plant.
Effective Communication: Communicating effectively with your team and support teams will ensure smooth operations and continuous personal and professional development.
Ensure all safety systems are functioning properly and that the work area is safe at all times.
Follow standardized processes in detail and perform daily activities according to established procedures.
Use Standardized Work principles to drive continuous performance improvement.
Maintain polyvalence by being trained and capable of performing multiple roles, and stay aware of job rotations.
Ensure product quality by identifying, analyzing, and reworking defects when necessary.
Take proactive action in problem-solving with a realistic and practical understanding of issues.
Support production by reinforcing the line when a team member is absent or when additional support is required.
Encourage continuous improvement ideas and actively participate in implementing solutions.
Maintain cleanliness, organization, and overall tidiness of the work area.
Collaborate with the Team Manager, Supervisor, and Coordinator to manage job rotations and daily operations effectively

Education, Licenses, Certifications:
High school diploma or certificate of completion of secondary education or equivalent experience to the extent such experience meets applicable regulations.
