Key Responsibilities for Inventory Managers
Manage overall inventory operations, stock levels, and inventory control activities.
Plan and maintain optimal inventory levels based on demand, supply, and business requirements.
Monitor stock movement, inventory accuracy, availability, and replenishment requirements.
Coordinate receiving, storage, picking, packing, dispatch, and stock transfer activities.
Conduct regular physical inventory counts, cycle counts, and stock audits.
Investigate inventory discrepancies, shortages, excess stock, damages, and variances.
Develop and implement effective inventory control procedures and best practices.
Coordinate with procurement and purchasing teams to ensure timely replenishment of inventory.
Collaborate with warehouse, logistics, supply chain, sales, production, and operations teams.
Monitor slow-moving, obsolete, excess, and aging inventory and recommend corrective actions.
Maintain accurate inventory records using ERP, WMS, SAP, or other inventory management systems.
Track inventory KPIs including stock accuracy, inventory turnover, carrying costs, order fulfillment, and service levels.
Ensure proper storage, handling, labeling, identification, and movement of inventory.
Analyze inventory data, demand patterns, forecasts, and consumption trends to improve stock planning.
Prepare inventory reports, dashboards, variance reports, and management updates.
Identify opportunities to reduce inventory costs, minimize wastage, improve efficiency, and optimize working capital.
Eligibility Requirements
Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Operations Management, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field.
Minimum 5–20 years of relevant inventory, warehouse, logistics, or supply chain experience, depending on the role and country.
English communication skills.
