Role Description The Manager QMS (Quality Management System) is a full-time, on-site role based in Mumbai, responsible for maintaining and improving the plant’s quality management system in line with corporate and regulatory requirements. The role involves planning, implementing, and monitoring QMS processes, documenting procedures, and ensuring compliance with relevant standards and certifications. Daily activities include coordinating internal audits, managing corrective and preventive actions, analyzing quality data and trends, and supporting root cause analysis for product and process nonconformities. The Manager QMS collaborates closely with project and o&m sites, maintenance, and supply chain teams to drive continuous improvement projects, optimize process capability, and enhance customer satisfaction. The role also includes training employees on QMS procedures, preparing reports and presentations for management, and participating in external audits as the primary quality representative.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of quality management systems, standards (e.g., ISO 9001), and audit methodologies, with experience in implementing and maintaining QMS in a manufacturing environment and EPC Industry.
Proficiency in quality tools and techniques such as root cause analysis, CAPA, FMEA, SPC, and problem-solving methodologies, with the ability to interpret and act on quality data.
Experience coordinating internal and external audits, managing documentation and records, and ensuring compliance with regulatory and customer requirements.
Solid understanding of EPC sector
Strong analytical, organizational, and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a plant environment.
Effective written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear reports, procedures, and training materials, and engage with cross-functional teams.
Demonstrated leadership capabilities, including stakeholder management, influencing skills, and a collaborative approach to driving continuous improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related technical field; advanced qualifications or certifications in quality management (e.g., Six Sigma, Lead Auditor) are an advantage.
Comfort working on-site in Mumbai, with a commitment to safety, integrity, and adherence to company policies and quality standards.
