Senior Business Development Manager — IT Contract Staffing

We're hiring a hunter to open new client accounts in Pune's IT services, GCC and product-company ecosystem, get us empanelled as a staffing vendor, and turn those relationships into a steady flow of contract requirements for our trained AI/ML and Data Engineering bench. You'll report to our Head of Sales in Pune, with a dedicated recruitment team filling what you open.
You'll own new-business growth end to end: opening accounts, securing vendor empanelments and converting them into a steady flow of requirements. Success is measured on three outcomes from the accounts you originate — empanelments opened, requirements received, and billing collected.
Responsibilities
Open and empanel new client accounts (IT services firms, GCCs, funded product companies) with active contract-hiring demand
Build relationships with vendor management, procurement, delivery heads and hiring managers
Position our trained AI/ML and Data Engineering bench against live requirements
Own the funnel from first meeting to first deployment, working with recruiters on submissions and interview conversion
Deliver against a 90-day plan agreed before you join
Qualifications
5–8 years in IT contract staffing / C2H sales, with recent years in a new-business (hunting) role
Existing, active relationships with vendor management or procurement at Pune-based IT services firms or GCCs, and a track record of empanelments you personally opened
Demonstrable numbers: monthly billing originated, deployments from your accounts, requirements generated
Able to hold a credible conversation about AI/ML and Data Engineering hiring demand
Experience selling for a mid-size staffing firm — comfortable winning without a large brand behind you
Pune-based with a Pune network; free of non-solicit restrictions on the accounts you'd bring
You'll thrive here if you've built your career in IT contract staffing and C2H sales, have an active network across Pune's IT services and GCC ecosystem, and can bring relationships you're free to work with from day one.
Compensation
Fixed ₹12–17 LPA plus a strong, uncapped variable tied to collected billing from accounts you open (OTE ₹25–32 LPA).
