Role Description This part-time remote role combines video editing and Canva-based design to support the company’s digital and marketing initiatives. On a day-to-day basis, the Video Editor & Canva Designer will edit raw footage into polished videos, add transitions, text overlays, and basic motion elements, and ensure consistent audio and visual quality. The role also includes creating social media graphics, thumbnails, presentations, and other visual assets in Canva that align with brand guidelines. The individual will collaborate with content and marketing stakeholders to interpret briefs, propose creative concepts, and deliver assets on schedule. Responsibilities include organizing media files, maintaining design templates, and optimizing content for various platforms and formats.
Qualifications
Strong proficiency in video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve) and experience editing short-form and long-form content.
Advanced Canva skills, including creating custom layouts, templates, social media graphics, and branded visual materials.
Solid understanding of visual storytelling, basic motion graphics, typography, color theory, and layout design principles.
Ability to optimize video and image assets for different digital platforms (e.g., social media, websites, presentations) while maintaining quality and brand consistency.
Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to handle multiple projects and meet deadlines in a remote environment.
Strong communication skills and willingness to accept feedback and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality, error-free visual content.
Prior experience in content creation, digital marketing, or social media production is beneficial; a portfolio showcasing video and Canva work is highly preferred.
