Role Description The Fashion Designer at 108 Bespoke will design and develop bespoke formalwear and office wear collections, with a focus on suits, shirts, trousers, and related garments. This full-time, on-site role in Chennai involves creating original designs, selecting suitable fabrics and trims, and collaborating with the tailoring team to ensure precise fits and high-quality finishes. The designer will translate client preferences and measurements into detailed sketches and technical specifications, oversee fittings, and refine designs based on feedback. Daily responsibilities include staying updated on fashion trends, preparing mood boards, managing design samples, and maintaining consistency with the brand’s aesthetic and quality standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Fashion Design and Fashion skills, with a portfolio demonstrating bespoke or formalwear designs.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Textiles, including fabric properties, drape, and suitability for various garment types.
Candidates should possess experience in Fitting, with the ability to interpret measurements and adjust patterns for optimal fit and comfort.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Embroidery and garment detailing to enhance the aesthetic and premium feel of custom pieces.
Relevant diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field is preferred.
Strong drawing and CAD skills, attention to detail, and an understanding of tailoring techniques are beneficial.
Ability to work on-site in Chennai, collaborate with tailors and clients, and manage multiple design projects within deadlines.
