Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Fashion Designer role based in Ahmedabad. The Fashion Designer will create designs for bespoke formal and office wear collections, including suits, shirts, trousers, and related garments, aligned with the brand’s aesthetic and client requirements. Day-to-day responsibilities include developing design concepts, selecting fabrics and trims, preparing sketches and technical specifications, and collaborating with pattern makers and tailors to ensure high-quality fit and construction. The role involves overseeing fittings, making design and fit adjustments, and working closely with the production team to maintain craftsmanship standards and timelines. The Fashion Designer will also stay updated on fashion trends, contribute to style catalogs and lookbooks, and support client consultations to translate preferences into custom designs.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Fashion Design and Fashion skills, with a focus on bespoke and formalwear.
Candidates should possess solid knowledge of Textiles, including fabric properties, drape, and suitability for different garments.
Candidates should possess experience in Fitting, garment construction details, and working closely with tailoring teams.
Candidates should possess Embroidery skills or an understanding of decorative techniques suitable for custom garments.
Relevant qualifications such as a diploma or degree in Fashion Design, Apparel Design, or a related field.
Ability to create detailed sketches and technical drawings; familiarity with design tools or software is an advantage.
Strong attention to detail, aesthetic sense, and commitment to high-quality craftsmanship.
Effective communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage confidently with clients and production staff.
Prior experience in bespoke, tailoring, or luxury fashion environments is highly beneficial.
