Job Overview
We are looking for a skilled and detail-oriented Tekla Detailer with experience in PEB and structural steel detailing.
The candidate will be responsible for developing accurate Tekla models and preparing GA drawings, fabrication/shop drawings, erection drawings, Anchor Bolt (AB) drawings, and production BOQs in accordance with approved designs and project specifications.
The role requires strong technical understanding, detailing accuracy, model coordination, revision control, and effective collaboration with design, checking, production, and project teams.
Key Responsibilities / KRAs
1. Design Input Review
Review approved structural designs, engineering inputs, customer specifications, and project requirements. Identify missing, conflicting, or unclear information and coordinate for clarification before starting detailing.
2. Tekla Modelling & Detailing
Develop accurate 3D structural steel models in Tekla Structures based on approved designs, ensuring correct member geometry, connections, assemblies, components, and project-specific requirements.
3. Engineering Drawings & Production BOQs
Prepare accurate GA drawings, fabrication/shop drawings, erection drawings, Anchor Bolt (AB) drawings, assembly and part drawings, and production BOQs as required for manufacturing and site execution.
4. Self-Checking & Quality Control
Perform detailed self-checking of Tekla models, drawings, dimensions, member locations, connections, material specifications, quantities, and BOQs before submitting them for checking/review.
5. Design & Drafting Compliance
Ensure models and drawings comply with approved designs, customer specifications, company detailing standards, drafting procedures, and applicable project requirements.
6. Review Comments & Revisions
Incorporate comments from design and checking engineers accurately and promptly. Update models and issue revised drawings within committed timelines.
7. Revision Control & Documentation
Maintain proper revision control and documentation for Tekla models, drawings, BOQs, drawing registers, and related engineering records, ensuring complete traceability.
8. Cross-Functional Coordination
Coordinate with design engineers, checking engineers, production/fabrication teams, project teams, and other stakeholders to clarify technical requirements and resolve detailing or fabrication-related issues.
9. Timely Drawing Release
Ensure timely release of approved fabrication and erection drawings to support production planning, manufacturing, dispatch, erection, and overall project schedules.
10. QMS & Departmental Compliance
Follow departmental procedures, Quality Management System (QMS) requirements, document-control processes, and established detailing standards.
11. Continuous Improvement
Suggest improvements in Tekla modelling, detailing practices, standardization, templates, productivity, accuracy, and engineering workflows to improve overall departmental efficiency.

Strong hands-on proficiency in Tekla Structures
Good knowledge of PEB and structural steel detailing
3D structural modelling and detailing

Production BOQ preparation
Understanding of structural steel members and connections
Ability to interpret structural design drawings and engineering inputs

Candidate Requirements
Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Structural Engineering, or a relevant technical discipline
Relevant professional experience in Tekla detailing, PEB, or structural steel detailing
Strong hands-on working knowledge of Tekla Structures
Experience developing structural steel 3D models and generating fabrication/shop and erection drawings
Experience preparing GA and Anchor Bolt drawings
Understanding of production BOQs and material quantities
Ability to interpret structural designs, connection details, and project specifications
Understanding of the complete workflow from design → detailing → fabrication → erection
Experience with a PEB manufacturer, structural steel fabrication company, EPC organization, or industrial engineering company will be preferred
Preferred Candidate Profile
