Role Description The Duty Manager role at StayBird Hospitality is a full-time, on-site position based in Pune. The Duty Manager oversees daily hotel operations, ensuring smooth functioning of front office, housekeeping, food and beverage, and guest services during assigned shifts. Responsibilities include managing guest check-ins and check-outs, handling escalated service issues, coordinating with different departments to meet service standards, and monitoring property appearance and safety. The role also involves supervising shift staff, managing duty rosters, ensuring adherence to policies and procedures, and supporting training for new team members. The Duty Manager prepares basic reports, tracks occupancy and revenue-related data, and actively contributes to guest satisfaction and brand reputation.
Qualifications
Strong guest service and customer relationship skills, with the ability to handle escalations and resolve issues promptly.
Experience in front office operations, reservations, and coordination with housekeeping and food and beverage teams.
Supervisory capabilities, including shift management, team coordination, and basic people management skills.
Operational awareness in hotel safety, security, and compliance with standard operating procedures.
Good communication skills in English and local languages, with clear, professional interpersonal abilities.
Basic proficiency in hotel property management systems, MS Office, and report preparation.
Relevant experience in hospitality operations, preferably in business hotels or serviced apartments.
Diploma or degree in Hotel Management, Hospitality, or a related field is preferred.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and holidays, as per operational requirements.
Strong attention to detail, problem-solving mindset, and commitment to guest-centric service.
