Senior Cloud Security Analyst – Akamai WAF

About the Role
We are hiring a Senior Cloud Security Analyst to lead our Cloud Security program under Product Security. This role will own the centralized rollout of Akamai WAF across 20 applications within a 6-month timeline — including end-to-end deployment, DNS traffic redirection, certificate issuance, staged testing, and WAF rules tuning.
Key Responsibilities
Design and implement cloud security controls across AWS and Azure environments
Own and enhance the organization's CSPM program to identify and remediate configuration and policy risks
Ensure SOC 2 cloud security controls remain executed and audit-ready at all times
Secure containerized applications and Kubernetes clusters, including image security, pod security policies, and network segmentation
Conduct security architecture, change, and configuration reviews across hosting environments (AWS, Azure, CNAPP, MDM, WAF, DDoS)
Partner closely with developers, cloud engineers, and architects to embed security into API and product initiatives
Champion secure-by-design guardrails through automated checks and team education
Required Qualifications
Minimum 4 years of experience in cloud security
Strong hands-on experience securing AWS and Azure environments
Prior experience deploying Akamai WAF (or equivalent), including DNS and certificate workflows
Solid background in Kubernetes and container security
Demonstrated experience ensuring SOC 2 compliance for cloud environments
Strong self-starter with excellent project management and communication skills; able to independently own and drive the rollout
