Role Description
The Senior Software Engineer – Canton contract role is a remote position responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust backend services and systems within Unifydd’s client technology stacks. Day-to-day work includes writing high-quality, testable code, reviewing peer code, optimizing performance, and ensuring scalability and security of backend applications. The engineer will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including architects, data engineers, and AI specialists, to integrate services and APIs across cloud, data, and automation platforms. Responsibilities also include participating in technical design discussions, contributing to architectural decisions, troubleshooting complex production issues, and improving engineering practices and tooling. This role requires proactive communication with distributed teams, ownership of deliverables, and continuous learning in relevant technologies.
We're building a Daml-on-Canton distributed-ledger platform for KYC and investor onboarding, and we need a strong backend engineer to help shape it.
What you'll work on:
• Designing and extending Daml smart-contract models
• Deploying and operating Canton network infrastructure
• Building .NET backend services and REST APIs that connect to the ledger
• Containerised cloud deployments with Docker and Kubernetes (AWS EKS)
Must-haves:
✅ Hands-on Daml smart contract experience
✅ Canton network deployment/operations
✅ C#/.NET, SQL Server/PostgreSQL, RESTful APIs
✅ Git, Azure DevOps, Kubernetes
Financial services experience is a plus.
