Role Description The Production Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Khed, responsible for overseeing daily manufacturing operations to ensure safe, efficient, and high-quality production. This role includes planning and managing production schedules, coordinating resources, and monitoring workflow to meet output targets and delivery commitments. The Production Manager leads and develops production teams, promotes a strong safety culture, and ensures compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements. Day-to-day tasks involve tracking key performance indicators, resolving operational issues, optimizing processes, and collaborating with maintenance, quality, supply chain, and engineering teams. The position also contributes to continuous improvement initiatives, cost control, and implementation of best practices in line with Amcor’s global standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong production and operations management skills, including experience with scheduling, capacity planning, and resource allocation.
Candidates should possess skills in process improvement and quality management, such as familiarity with lean manufacturing, Six Sigma, and standardized work practices.
Candidates should possess leadership and people management skills, including team supervision, performance coaching, and conflict resolution.
Candidates should possess safety and compliance awareness, with the ability to implement workplace safety programs and adhere to relevant regulations and company policies.
Candidates should possess solid analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to use data and KPIs to identify issues and drive corrective actions.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.
Relevant experience in manufacturing or packaging industries is beneficial, preferably in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
A diploma or degree in engineering, manufacturing, industrial management, or a related field is preferred; equivalent practical experience will be considered.
Familiarity with production planning systems, ERP tools, and basic MS Office applications is advantageous.
