REALITY CAMERA PRODUCER / FIELD VIDEO PRODUCER

We are looking for an exceptional field camera operator who can capture REAL LIFE as it happens.
This is NOT a conventional event videographer role.
This is NOT a wedding cinematography role.
This is NOT a traditional political cameraman role.
We are looking for someone with the instincts of a:
* News video journalist
* Documentary filmmaker
* Reality-TV camera operator
* Run-and-gun filmmaker
* Mobile journalist
* Creator cameraman
* Street/documentary shooter
* Sports/event camera operator
* Mumbai film/Bollywood BTS shooter
The person will work closely with a prominent Social Worker and Politician in Gurgaon and a creative team building a high-growth Instagram account.
THE PHILOSOPHY

The best candidate should be able to recognise an unexpected moment before everyone else does.
A normal assignment may be:
"Naveen is going to inspect a road."
We do NOT want:
"Sir, please stand here. Camera rolling."
We want someone who notices:
A frustrated resident.
A dangerous situation.
A surprising interaction.
An unexpected reaction.
A child saying something unusual.
A worker explaining something.
A sudden change in the situation.
A genuine human moment.
And immediately thinks:
"KEEP ROLLING."
WHAT YOU WILL DO
* Accompany the subject during field visits, public interactions and real-world situations
* Capture unscripted moments as they happen
* Shoot vertical-first footage for Instagram Reels
* Capture wide, medium and close shots
* Anticipate moments before they happen
* Follow developing situations without interrupting them
* Capture genuine reactions
* Capture useful natural sound
* Maintain recording discipline during developing moments
* Quickly move between subjects and situations
* Shoot with smartphones and compact cameras
* Work alongside other cameramen without duplicating their shots
* Coordinate silently during crowded situations
* Capture footage that gives editors multiple storytelling options
* Understand when to keep the camera moving and when to hold the frame
* Understand when imperfect footage feels more authentic and compelling than polished footage
THE CAMERA STYLE WE ARE LOOKING FOR
We are particularly interested in candidates who understand modern social-first documentary / run-and-gun camera language.
The footage may sometimes be:
* Fast
* Close
* Handheld
* Reactive
* Imperfect
* Rapidly reframed
* Visually chaotic
But it must always be:
* Intentional
* Informative
* Emotionally engaging
* Easy to follow
* Authentic
We are NOT looking for unnecessary cinematic movement.
We are looking for the feeling:
"Something is happening RIGHT NOW."
MUST-HAVE SKILLS
* Exceptional observational ability
* Very fast reaction time
* Strong visual instincts
* Excellent mobile camera skills
* Excellent vertical-video composition
* Strong autofocus/focus discipline
* Strong understanding of natural light
* Good natural audio awareness
* Ability to anticipate human behaviour
* Ability to operate in crowded/chaotic environments
* Ability to shoot continuously when a moment is developing
* Ability to remain alert for long periods
* Ability to work without constant direction
EQUIPMENT
The candidate should be comfortable shooting on:
* iPhone / flagship smartphones
* DJI Osmo Pocket or similar compact cameras
* Mirrorless cameras
* DSLR cameras
Smartphone expertise is particularly valuable.
NEWS / DOCUMENTARY EXPERIENCE
Candidates from the following backgrounds are strongly encouraged to apply:

WHAT WE WILL ASK YOU TO SHOW
Applicants must submit:
1. Five examples of your best field/observational footage
2. At least three examples of unscripted moments you personally captured
3. At least one example where the camera had to react quickly to something unexpected
4. Links to any Reels/videos that used your footage
5. Your exact role in each project
RAW FOOTAGE IS WELCOME.
In fact, for this role, raw field footage may be more valuable to us than polished films.
FIELD TEST
Shortlisted candidates will be invited for a practical field test.
You may be given a smartphone/camera and asked to accompany the subject for approximately 60–90 minutes.
There will be no detailed shot list.
We want to see what you notice.

You should NOT need someone standing next to you telling you what to shoot every 30 seconds.
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
The ideal candidate sees a situation developing and instinctively moves toward the story.
You should be the person who says:
"Sir, don't leave yet. Something is happening over there."
rather than:
"Sir, where should I stand?"
LOCATION
Gurgaon / Gurugram.
The position is primarily on-ground and requires substantial field work.
COMPENSATION
Top Salary will be given to an exceptional candidate.
We are willing to pay significantly above conventional market compensation for an exceptional camera/storytelling professional.
