Role Description The VMware Administrator role at Care Infotech is a full-time, on-site position based in Navi Mumbai. The VMware Administrator will manage and maintain virtualized server environments, including installation, configuration, monitoring, and optimization of VMware infrastructure. Daily responsibilities include troubleshooting virtualization and server-related issues, performing routine system checks, managing backups, ensuring high availability, and coordinating with other IT team members to support desktops, laptops, and servers. The role involves responding to technical support requests, implementing best practices for security and performance, and documenting configurations and procedures. The VMware Administrator is expected to contribute to continuous improvement of the IT environment and provide clear communication to stakeholders about system status and changes.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong troubleshooting and technical support skills to diagnose and resolve issues across virtualized and physical environments.
Candidates should possess server administration skills, including experience managing VMware environments and related infrastructure components.
Candidates should possess infrastructure-related skills, with an understanding of networking, storage, and system architecture within virtualized data centers.
Candidates should possess operating systems knowledge, including administration of common server and desktop operating systems (such as Windows and Linux).
Additional beneficial qualifications include experience with backup and recovery solutions, basic scripting or automation skills, and familiarity with IT security best practices.
Strong analytical and communication skills, ability to work on-site in Navi Mumbai, and a customer-focused approach to IT service delivery are required.
A diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field, along with relevant certifications (e.g., VMware VCP), is preferred.
