About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and dynamic HR Manager to manage the complete HR operations of our Honda two-wheeler dealership in Chennai.
The candidate will be responsible for recruitment, employee management, attendance, payroll coordination, statutory compliance, performance management and employee engagement across the dealership.
Key Responsibilities
Manage end-to-end recruitment and talent acquisition for Sales, Service, Parts and support functions.
Handle employee onboarding, induction and documentation.
Manage employee attendance, leave and personnel records.
Coordinate payroll and salary processing, including EPF, ESI and other statutory requirements.
Ensure compliance with applicable labour laws and statutory regulations.
Handle employee grievances, disciplinary matters and workplace issues.
Coordinate employee performance appraisals and evaluations.
Develop and implement HR policies, SOPs and processes.
Support management with manpower planning and workforce requirements.
Monitor employee retention, turnover and attrition.
Coordinate training and development programs for employees.
Manage employee engagement and welfare activities.
Ensure proper joining, transfer, promotion and exit formalities.
Maintain statutory registers, HR records and documentation required for audits.
Prepare regular HR MIS reports covering manpower, attendance, recruitment, attrition and employee performance.
Work closely with Sales, Service, Parts and Administration teams for HR-related requirements.
Ensure proper implementation of company HR policies and management directives.
Maintain employee discipline and promote a positive and professional workplace environment.
Maintain accurate and confidential employee records.
Provide regular HR updates and reports to management.
Candidate Profile
Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration or a related field.
3–6 years of experience in HR operations, preferably in the automobile dealership or retail industry.
Experience handling Sales and Service dealership employees will be preferred.
Strong knowledge of recruitment, payroll coordination, attendance and statutory compliance.
Good knowledge of EPF, ESI and labour law compliance.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Good working knowledge of MS Excel, HRMS/DMS and HR reporting systems.
Strong employee-handling and problem-solving skills.
Should be proactive, organized and capable of independently managing HR operations.
Automobile dealership HR experience will be an added advantage.
Candidate should be willing to work on-site in Chennai.
