About the Role
Office Beacon is seeking an experienced Restaurant Architect / Designer with strong architectural visualization and technical design expertise to support airport food and beverage development projects.
This role is focused on creating high-quality, photorealistic architectural renderings, restaurant and food-hall layouts, elevations, materials boards, 3D visualizations, and architectural documentation for food-service concepts and RFP submissions.
The ideal candidate combines strong architectural and technical skills with hands-on experience in restaurant, food hall, food court, hospitality, commercial dining, or similar environments.
This is not a general drafting role. Strong architectural visualization skills, a portfolio of relevant work, and the ability to produce presentation-ready design packages are essential.
Key Responsibilities
Architectural Visualization & Design
Create photorealistic interior and exterior renderings for restaurant, food hall, and food-service environments.
Develop detailed layouts demonstrating circulation, customer flow, functionality, and efficient space utilization.
Produce interior views, elevations, entry perspectives, aerial views, and other presentation perspectives.
Develop materials boards covering finishes, colors, textures, fixtures, and material selections.
Create 3D walkthroughs, flyovers, animations, or video renderings when required.
Translate design concepts and brand requirements into compelling visual presentations.
Architectural Documentation
Prepare accurate CAD/BIM drawings and architectural documentation supporting design concepts and RFP submissions.
Develop layouts, elevations, plans, and presentation documentation in accordance with applicable project requirements.
Maintain consistency between drawings, renderings, layouts, and presentation materials.
Ensure design files and documentation are accurate, organized, and presentation-ready.
Project Collaboration
Work with project stakeholders to understand brand requirements, operational needs, design objectives, and project constraints.
Incorporate feedback and complete multiple design iterations efficiently.
Communicate design concepts, recommendations, and technical considerations clearly.
Coordinate design deliverables with internal and external stakeholders.
Project Delivery
Manage multiple design assignments and deliverables simultaneously.
Prioritize work based on project requirements and RFP deadlines.
Track revisions, deliverables, and project requirements.
Work independently while keeping stakeholders informed of progress and potential issues.
Deliver high-quality work within tight project timelines.
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or higher in Architecture, Architectural Technology, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
5+ years of professional experience in restaurant architecture, hospitality architecture, architectural visualization, food-service design, or a closely related field.
Strong professional experience creating photorealistic architectural renderings.
Advanced proficiency in one or more relevant 3D visualization/design platforms such as Revit, SketchUp, Lumion, V-Ray, Enscape, or comparable tools.
Strong knowledge of CAD, BIM, architectural documentation, and technical drawing standards.
Portfolio demonstrating relevant restaurant, food hall, food court, hospitality, commercial dining, or comparable architectural visualization projects.
Ability to develop presentation-quality layouts, elevations, renderings, and materials boards.
Strong attention to design accuracy and visual detail.
Ability to manage multiple deliverables and tight deadlines independently.
Ability to incorporate feedback and complete multiple design revisions efficiently.
Strong written and verbal communication skills.
Preferred Qualifications
Experience designing food halls, food courts, restaurants, airports, commercial dining environments, or hospitality spaces.
Experience supporting airport concession or food-service RFP submissions.
Experience with foodservice operational planning, equipment placement, or customer-flow considerations.
Experience producing 3D walkthroughs, flyovers, animations, or architectural videos.
Experience supporting RFP presentation packages.
Licensed Architect, AIA, CMAA, or comparable professional architectural credential where applicable.
Experience with architectural visualization workflows involving multiple brands or concepts within a single project.
Project Context
The immediate project involves an approximately 7,000 sq. ft. airport food hall redesign covering six food and beverage brands.
The project requires high-quality architectural visualization, restaurant/food-hall layouts, elevations, interior perspectives, materials presentations, and related design documentation.
The selected candidate must be able to start promptly and work toward the project's October 7, 2026 rendering deadline, subject to the agreed project schedule.
