Job Requirements & Responsibilities
Record and maintain all accounting transactions in accordance with applicable accounting principles and company policies.
Prepare and process sales invoices, purchase invoices, bills, and other accounting entries.
Handle purchase accounting and inventory accounting, including monitoring inventory costs and maintaining accurate stock-related records.
Maintain and monitor inventory records and reconciliation with books of accounts.
Perform vendor/creditor reconciliations and resolve discrepancies on a timely basis.
Ensure timely processing of payments to vendors, employees, and other stakeholders.
Prepare and file GST returns, including reconciliation of GST data and related compliance.
Prepare and file TDS returns, ensure timely deductions and payments, and maintain related records.
Ensure compliance with other applicable statutory requirements, including Professional Tax.
Maintain general ledgers and ensure accuracy of books of accounts.
Manage accounting activities through ERP/accounting software, including transaction entries, reporting, reconciliations, and other finance-related processes.
Assist in capital asset management and maintain fixed asset registers/ledgers.
Prepare and finalize month-end, quarter-end, and year-end accounts within defined timelines.
Support audits and provide required financial information and documentation.
Maintain financial security and accuracy by following established internal controls and accounting procedures.
Coordinate with internal departments, vendors, customers, and other stakeholders regarding accounting and financial matters.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce.
3+ years of relevant accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing/plant environment.
Hands-on experience with ERP systems is mandatory; experience in accounting modules such as Purchase, Sales, Inventory, GST, and Finance will be preferred.
Practical experience in GST and TDS calculation, reconciliation, payment, and return filing is required.
Strong experience in inventory accounting, stock reconciliation, inventory costing, and monitoring inventory-related transactions.
Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office, particularly MS Excel.
Good understanding of accounting principles, statutory compliance, and financial controls.
Strong numerical and analytical skills with high attention to detail and accuracy.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to multitask, prioritize responsibilities, and meet strict deadlines.
Thorough knowledge of GST, TDS, Professional Tax, and other applicable statutory compliances.
Strong problem-solving and reconciliation skills.
