Role Description The Store Manager is responsible for overseeing day-to-day store operations, including inventory control, materials handling, and coordination with production and procurement teams. This is a full-time, on-site role based in Chennai. The role involves monitoring stock levels, ensuring timely availability of raw materials and finished goods, maintaining accurate records, and implementing systems to prevent loss and wastage. The Store Manager will manage store staff, enforce safety and documentation standards, and maintain a clean, organized storage environment aligned with audit and compliance requirements. The role also includes collaborating with internal stakeholders to support production schedules, optimizing storage processes, and contributing to continuous improvement in store management practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong store management and inventory control skills, with experience in handling industrial or manufacturing materials.
Candidates should possess customer service and customer satisfaction skills to support internal stakeholders and ensure timely, accurate material availability.
Candidates should possess effective communication skills for coordinating with production, procurement, quality, and management teams.
Candidates should possess retail loss prevention or stock control skills, with the ability to implement safeguards against shrinkage, damage, and misallocation.
Relevant experience in manufacturing, automotive, or engineering environments is highly beneficial.
Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and proficiency with inventory management software or ERP systems are preferred.
Ability to lead and train store staff, enforce safety and documentation standards, and work on-site full-time in Chennai.
A diploma or degree in supply chain, logistics, commerce, or a related field is advantageous.
