Role Description The Information Technology Intern role at Actum Technologies is an on-site internship based in Surat. The intern will assist the IT team with daily operations, including monitoring network performance, performing basic system checks, and supporting routine maintenance activities. Responsibilities include helping troubleshoot hardware and software issues, supporting end users with technical inquiries, and documenting common problems and resolutions. The intern will also help implement basic network security practices under supervision, maintain records of IT assets, and collaborate with team members on small IT projects or upgrades. This role is designed to provide practical, supervised experience in an operational IT environment and exposure to industry-standard tools and practices.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess foundational skills in Information Technology and a strong interest in IT infrastructure and support.
Candidates should possess skills in Network Administration and Network Security to assist with maintaining and securing the organization’s network.
Candidates should possess Troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve basic hardware, software, and connectivity issues.
Candidates should possess Customer Service skills to interact professionally with internal users and provide clear, supportive technical assistance.
Basic knowledge of operating systems (Windows, Linux), common office software, and computer hardware components.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, and the ability to follow instructions and procedures accurately.
Ability to work on-site in Surat, collaborate within a team, and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Pursuing or recently completed a diploma or degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field is preferred.
