Job Description – Lead Cloud Engineer
· 8+ years in software engineering and 5+years of experience in cloud engineering with proven leadership experience.
· Deep expertise in major cloud services (AWS, Azure and/or GCP), container orchestration (Kubernetes), and scripting (Python, Bash).
· Build scalable, secure, and highly available systems on platforms like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud.
· Guide development and operations teams, drive cloud best practices, and mentor junior engineers.
· Spearhead automation-first delivery using tools like Terraform, Ansible or AWS Cloud Formation.
· Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins, GitHub, and GitHub Actions for application and infrastructure deployments.
· Lead cloud engineering activities for multiple platforms and hybrid environments, including infrastructure provisioning, deployment automation, platform reliability, and operational readiness.
· Responsible for the end-to-end design and deployment of cloud-based solutions that align with business objectives.
· Lead multiple cloud migration projects, enabling organizations to transition from on-premises systems to scalable, cost-effective cloud environments
· Manage and support on-premises datacenter environments and hybrid infrastructure platforms, including Rancher, Linux-based systems, virtualization or container platforms, networking dependencies, and integration with Azure cloud environments.
· Drive automation for environment provisioning, configuration management, release management, monitoring and operational support tasks.
· Partner with application teams to on-board workloads, troubleshoot deployment issues, improve release quality, and standardize cloud and DevOps practices.
· Collaborate with security and infrastructure teams to implement secure networking, access controls, secrets management and compliance requirements.
· Provide technical leadership, mentoring, documentation and best-practice guidance to cloud, DevOps infrastructure and cross-functional teams.
· Participate in incident resolution, root cause analysis, platform improvements, and continuous improvement initiatives for reliability and operational efficiency.
