Interior Designer

Role Description The Interior Designer will work full time on-site in Kozhikode, collaborating with architects, clients, and project teams to develop interior concepts and detailed design solutions. Day-to-day responsibilities include space planning, preparing design layouts, selecting materials and finishes, and coordinating FF&E (furniture, fixtures, and equipment). The role involves producing and reviewing construction drawings, ensuring design intent is accurately translated into execution, and visiting project sites to monitor progress. The Interior Designer will participate in client meetings, present design proposals, incorporate feedback, and align designs with budget, timeline, and quality expectations. The position requires close coordination with contractors and vendors to resolve design-related issues and maintain project standards.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Interior Design and Space Planning skills, with the ability to develop functional and visually coherent layouts.
Candidates should possess Architecture and Construction Drawings competencies, including preparing and interpreting detailed plans and documentation.
Candidates should possess FF&E expertise, including furniture selection, fixtures coordination, and material and finish specification.
Relevant academic qualification in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
Proficiency in design and drafting software (e.g., AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar) and basic knowledge of MS Office.
Strong visual communication skills, including the ability to create presentations, mood boards, and 3D views.
Effective collaboration and communication skills, with the ability to work on-site with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
Attention to detail, time management abilities, and familiarity with local building codes and construction practices are beneficial.
