Role Description
The Investment Associate role is a full-time remote position responsible for supporting investment sourcing, evaluation, and execution across Blake Atlantic’s portfolio sectors. Day-to-day activities include building and maintaining financial models, performing detailed market and company research, and supporting due diligence on potential investments and strategic partnerships. The Investment Associate will prepare investment memos and presentations, assist in transaction structuring, and collaborate with internal stakeholders to track portfolio performance. This role also involves monitoring industry trends, identifying new investment opportunities, and contributing to strategic recommendations that align with Blake Atlantic’s long-term ownership philosophy.
Qualifications
Strong analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex financial and market data and draw clear conclusions.
Proficiency in finance and investments, including understanding of valuation methods, capital markets, and portfolio concepts.
Advanced financial modeling skills, with experience building and maintaining models for forecasting, valuation, and scenario analysis.
Experience conducting rigorous due diligence on companies, markets, and transactions, including qualitative and quantitative assessments.
Bachelor’s degree in finance, economics, business, or a related field; advanced degree or relevant certifications (e.g., CFA) are a plus.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare clear investment memos and presentations for stakeholders.
High level of attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a remote environment.
Comfort working with cross-functional teams and senior leaders in a collaborative, entrepreneurial, and fast-paced setting.
Demonstrated interest in diversified holdings, private investments, or long-term ownership strategies is beneficial.
