Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Cost Accountant role based in Tirupati. The Cost Accountant will track, analyze, and report manufacturing costs, including materials, labor, and overhead, to support accurate product costing and margin analysis. Daily responsibilities include preparing cost reports, assisting in budgeting and forecasting, reconciling cost accounts, and posting relevant journal entries. The role involves reviewing financial data, supporting monthly and annual financial close, and collaborating with production and procurement teams to identify cost variances and improvement opportunities. The Cost Accountant will also help ensure adherence to internal controls and support management with data needed for pricing, planning, and strategic decisions.
Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (such as CA or ICWA are an advantage.
Candidates should possess strong Cost Accounting skills, including product costing, variance analysis, and overhead allocation.
Candidates should possess skills in preparing and interpreting Financial Statements and supporting finance-related reporting.
Candidates should possess solid Analytical Skills for evaluating cost data, identifying trends, and supporting decision-making.
Candidates should possess experience with Journal Entries (Accounting), general ledger postings, and reconciliation activities.
Candidates should possess foundational Finance knowledge, including budgeting, forecasting, and cost-control principles.
Candidates should possess proficiency in MS Excel and familiarity with ERP or accounting software.
Candidates should possess strong attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and the ability to work independently and with cross-functional teams.
Relevant experience in a manufacturing environment or cost-focused accounting role is preferred.
