Role Description The Mechanical Engineer will work full time in a remote capacity, collaborating with cross-functional teams to design, analyze, and improve mechanical systems and components. Daily responsibilities include developing and reviewing mechanical designs, creating and updating CAD models and drawings, and supporting machine design for new and existing products. The role involves conducting engineering calculations, participating in research and development activities, and troubleshooting mechanical issues to optimize performance and reliability. The Mechanical Engineer will manage or support engineering projects, coordinate with suppliers and internal stakeholders, and ensure designs meet safety, quality, and regulatory standards. The position also includes preparing technical documentation and reports, contributing to process improvements, and providing remote support to manufacturing and field teams as needed.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong Mechanical Engineering skills, including understanding of mechanical systems, materials, and manufacturing processes.
Candidates should possess Machine Design skills, including component selection, mechanism design, and reliability considerations.
Candidates should possess Computer-Aided Design (CAD) skills for creating 3D models, detailed drawings, and design revisions.
Candidates should possess Project Management skills to plan tasks, manage timelines, coordinate stakeholders, and track deliverables.
Candidates should possess Research and Development (R&D) skills to explore new concepts, conduct experimental testing, and support innovation initiatives.
Relevant qualifications include a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Additional beneficial skills include familiarity with industry standards, tolerance analysis, FEA or other simulation tools, and basic knowledge of manufacturing methods.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, clear written and verbal communication, and the ability to work effectively in a remote, collaborative environment are important.
