Role Purpose
Lead Manufacturing Engineering activities for SGPP with overall responsibility for Yield, OEE, Productivity, Process Optimization, Cost & Energy Improvement, and Operational Excellence. Provide strong technical leadership, drive continuous improvement, and ensure effective cross-functional coordination for sustainable manufacturing performance.
Key Responsibilities
o Lead PPL and Furnace Manufacturing Engineering activities and provide technical direction for process improvements.
o Drive improvement in Yield, OEE, Cycle Time, Productivity, Capacity and Process Stability.
o Lead Root Cause Analysis (RCA), defect reduction and implementation of permanent corrective and preventive actions.
o Plan, approve, execute and validate engineering/process trials and supplier trials.
o Drive consumable cost reduction, alternate supplier development and energy-saving initiatives.
o Lead high-impact WCM, Kaizen and Operational Excellence projects and ensure measurable business benefits.
o Coordinate with Operations, Quality, Maintenance, Purchase, Planning, WCM and Suppliers for engineering activities.
o Monitor and ensure timely closure of engineering projects, action plans, audit observations and improvement initiatives.
o Provide Manufacturing Engineering inputs for customer requirements, corporate initiatives and audits.
o Prepare and consolidate daily, weekly and monthly management reviews, KPI dashboards and project updates.
o Identify CAPEX requirements and support technical justification, approval and implementation.
o Maintain process history, trial records, lessons learned, standards and engineering knowledge repositories.
o Develop team capability through training, mentoring and cross-functional knowledge sharing.
o Establish effective governance through regular ME Daily, Weekly and Monthly Reviews and ensure timely escalation of critical issues.
o Lead tool and fixture development for process improvement and productivity enhancement.
o Drive team training and competency development.
o Identify and implement sustainability and energy-efficiency projects
SGPP is seeking a talented Manufacturing Engineering Team Leader to oversee our production processes.
