Accountant

About the Role
Balar Builders is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting activities, statutory compliances, purchase accounting, and financial documentation.
Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
Handle GST compliance, including GST calculations, returns, reconciliation, and related documentation.
Handle TDS calculations, deductions, payments, returns, and compliance.
Manage purchase entries, invoices, and vendor accounts.
Maintain proper records of expenses, payments, receipts, and other financial transactions.
Perform bank reconciliation and ledger reconciliation.
Maintain and verify vendor/customer ledgers.
Prepare accounting reports and assist with month-end closing.
Ensure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions.
Coordinate with internal teams, vendors, and consultants for accounting and statutory requirements.
Maintain proper documentation and records for audits and compliance.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Minimum 3+ years of relevant accounting experience.
Hands-on knowledge of GST and TDS.
Strong practical knowledge of Purchase Accounting and Invoice Processing.
Hands-on experience with Tally Prime is mandatory.
Good knowledge of MS Excel.
Understanding of accounting principles, ledger management, and bank reconciliation.
Good attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to independently handle day-to-day accounting activities.
Preferred Candidate
Experience in construction, real estate, infrastructure, hospitality, or a related industry will be an advantage.
Candidate should be responsible, organized, and comfortable handling statutory compliance work.
