Role Description This is a part-time remote role for a Video Editor at LYFeX. The Video Editor will assemble, edit, and refine video content for live sessions, promotional clips, tutorials, and social media assets aligned with the platform’s brand and participation-focused mission. Day-to-day tasks include reviewing raw footage, selecting engaging moments, applying color grading, integrating motion graphics, and ensuring smooth transitions and sound quality. The role involves collaborating with content creators, marketing, and product teams to develop consistent visual storytelling that highlights real-time interactions on the platform. The Video Editor will also manage file organization, version control, and delivery timelines, while suggesting creative improvements to enhance viewer engagement.
Qualifications
Strong skills in video production and video editing for digital and social platforms.
Proficiency in video color grading and basic post-production workflows.
Experience creating motion graphics and integrating graphics into video content.
Ability to follow brand guidelines and translate concepts into clear visual narratives.
Familiarity with industry-standard editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, DaVinci Resolve, After Effects or similar).
Good sense of pacing, sound design, and storytelling for short-form and long-form content.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Previous experience editing content for live, social, or community-driven platforms is a plus.
Relevant education or training in film, media, design, or a related field is beneficial but not required.
