Role Description The Freelance Video Editor role at LYFeX is a part-time, remote position focused on creating engaging video content that showcases live conversations and community interactions. Day-to-day tasks include editing raw footage into polished videos optimized for social and digital platforms, applying color grading, and integrating motion graphics and visual elements that align with LYFeX’s brand. The Video Editor will collaborate with content creators and internal stakeholders to develop cohesive video narratives, repurpose live session recordings, and ensure consistent visual quality and style. Responsibilities also include managing file organization, adhering to deadlines, and providing creative input on how to best highlight platform features and user experiences.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess strong skills in Video Editing and Video Production to assemble, refine, and deliver high-quality content.
Candidates should possess proficiency in Video Color Grading to maintain consistent visual tone and enhance overall viewing experience.
Candidates should possess skills in Motion Graphics and Graphics to create dynamic visual elements, overlays, and branded assets.
Experience with industry-standard editing tools (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or similar) and motion graphics software (e.g., After Effects) is beneficial.
Ability to work independently in a remote environment, manage multiple projects, and meet deadlines reliably.
Strong sense of visual storytelling, attention to detail, and understanding of short-form content and social media formats.
Prior experience editing content for live platforms, streaming, or community-driven products is a plus.
Relevant education or training in film, media, design, or related fields is advantageous but not strictly required.
