Sr Accountant

Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Sr Accountant role based in Sonipat. The Sr Accountant will manage day-to-day accounting operations, including maintaining general ledgers, preparing journal entries, and reconciling accounts. The role involves overseeing accounts payable and receivable, monitoring cash flow, and ensuring accurate recording of financial transactions. The Sr Accountant will prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements, support budgeting and forecasting activities, and assist with cost analysis and inventory accounting related to production and sales. The role also includes ensuring compliance with relevant accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements, coordinating with auditors, and providing financial insights to management for decision-making.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of accounting principles, general ledger management, and financial statement preparation.
Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and cash flow management.
Proficiency in accounting software and ERP systems, as well as MS Excel for data analysis and reporting.
Understanding of tax regulations, statutory compliance, and audit processes.
Ability to perform budgeting, forecasting, cost analysis, and inventory accounting.
Excellent attention to detail, numerical accuracy, and problem-solving skills.
Effective communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., CA, CMA, CPA equivalent) are an advantage.
Prior experience in a manufacturing or FMCG environment is preferred.
