Role Description The Quality Assurance Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Chikhli, Surat. This role is responsible for overseeing all quality assurance activities across production lines, including implementing and monitoring quality standards, conducting inspections, and supervising routine testing of raw materials, in-process items, and finished products. The manager will develop and update QA procedures, ensure compliance with food safety regulations and certifications, and coordinate with production, procurement, and R&D teams to resolve quality issues. Daily tasks include reviewing documentation, leading internal audits, training staff on quality and hygiene practices, investigating non-conformities, and implementing corrective and preventive actions. The position also involves preparing quality reports for leadership, supporting continuous improvement initiatives, and collaborating with external stakeholders such as vendors and regulatory bodies.
Qualifications
Strong knowledge of food safety, quality management systems, and regulatory standards (e.g., FSSAI, HACCP, ISO standards).
Experience in quality control and assurance within the food or beverage manufacturing industry, preferably in snacks or FMCG.
Proficiency in developing, implementing, and auditing SOPs, QA policies, and documentation systems.
Ability to analyze data, interpret test results, and use quality metrics to drive process improvements.
Effective leadership skills with experience managing QA teams and training cross-functional staff in quality and hygiene practices.
Strong communication and collaboration skills to work with production, R&D, procurement, and external partners.
Detail-oriented mindset with a focus on root-cause analysis, problem-solving, and corrective/preventive actions.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Food Technology, Food Science, Microbiology, Quality Management, or a related discipline.
Comfort with using laboratory equipment, basic statistical tools, and quality-related software for documentation and reporting.
