Role Description The Software Engineer role at PTEarn is a full-time, on-site position based in Gurugram. In this role, the engineer will design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs that power the PTEarn platform, ensuring scalability, reliability, and security. Day-to-day responsibilities include writing clean and efficient code, participating in code reviews, troubleshooting and debugging production issues, and optimizing system performance. The engineer will collaborate with product managers, designers, and other developers to implement new features, improve existing workflows, and integrate third-party services. The role also involves contributing to technical documentation, following best practices in software development, and continuously improving the platform’s architecture to support future growth.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Computer Science concepts such as data structures, algorithms, and systems design.
Hands-on experience in Software Development and Programming using modern languages and frameworks.
Proficiency in Back-End Web Development, including RESTful APIs, databases, and server-side technologies.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) principles and design patterns.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical field, or equivalent practical experience.
Experience with relational and/or NoSQL databases, version control systems (e.g., Git), and CI/CD workflows.
Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team, communicate clearly, and take ownership of deliverables.
Familiarity with cloud platforms, microservices architectures, and scalable distributed systems is a plus.
Interest in gig economy platforms, workforce solutions, or the future of work is beneficial.
