Role Description The Cyber Security Engineer at KATCH GO will be responsible for safeguarding the company’s ticketing platforms, infrastructure, and data assets against evolving threats. This full-time, on-site role in Ahmedabad involves designing and implementing security controls, monitoring systems for suspicious activities, and performing regular security assessments and audits. Day-to-day tasks include conducting vulnerability assessments, tuning and reviewing security tools, responding to incidents, and collaborating with engineering and product teams to embed secure-by-design principles into applications and network architecture. The engineer will maintain and update security policies and procedures, support compliance efforts, and contribute to security awareness initiatives across the organization. The role also includes researching emerging cybersecurity trends and recommending improvements to keep KATCH GO’s systems resilient and trustworthy.
Qualifications
Strong skills in Cybersecurity and Information Security, with the ability to design, implement, and maintain security frameworks and policies.
Hands-on experience in Network Security, including firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS, and secure network architecture.
Proficiency in Application Security, including secure coding practices, code reviews, and application threat modeling.
Practical experience performing Vulnerability Assessment and remediation, using industry-standard tools and methodologies.
Knowledge of security standards and best practices (e.g., ISO 27001, NIST, OWASP Top 10) and common authentication/authorization mechanisms.
Experience with SIEM, endpoint protection, cloud security controls, and log analysis for incident detection and response.
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or a related field, or equivalent practical experience.
Relevant certifications such as CEH, CompTIA Security+, CISSP, or equivalent are beneficial.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams on-site in Ahmedabad.
