Role Description The Junior Accountant will support daily accounting operations, including recording financial transactions, updating ledgers, and assisting with accounts payable and receivable. Responsibilities include preparing and reconciling bank statements, helping with monthly closing activities, and maintaining accurate financial records in accordance with company policies. The role will also assist in basic financial reporting, expense tracking, and coordination with internal stakeholders to resolve discrepancies. This is a full-time, on-site position based in Ahmedabad, requiring close collaboration with the finance team and adherence to deadlines.
Qualifications
Candidates should possess foundational accounting skills, including knowledge of bookkeeping, ledgers, and basic financial reporting.
Candidates should possess proficiency with accounting software and tools, such as spreadsheets (Excel or Google Sheets) and ERP or finance systems.
Candidates should possess strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills to ensure accuracy and compliance in financial records.
Candidates should possess effective communication and collaboration skills to work with finance colleagues and cross-functional teams.
Candidates should possess good organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
Relevant education such as a bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field is preferred.
Prior internship or entry-level experience in accounting or finance is an advantage.
Familiarity with basic taxation concepts, invoicing, and Indian accounting standards is beneficial.
