Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Accounts Receivable Caller role based in Chennai. The role involves making outbound calls to insurance companies and patients to follow up on outstanding claims and balances, ensuring timely collection and resolution. The Accounts Receivable Caller will review account statuses, verify claim details, update systems with accurate information, and document all interactions in accordance with company and client guidelines. The role includes identifying reasons for denials or delays, coordinating with internal teams to resolve issues, and meeting daily, weekly, and monthly productivity and quality targets. The Accounts Receivable Caller will also provide clear, professional communication, maintain confidentiality of patient information, and adhere to all compliance and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications
Strong communication skills, including clear spoken English, active listening, and professional telephone etiquette.
Basic understanding of healthcare billing, insurance processes, and accounts receivable concepts (training or experience in US healthcare RCM is an advantage).
Proficiency with computers and office software (e.g., MS Excel, MS Word) and the ability to learn new billing and EHR systems quickly.
Attention to detail, accuracy in data entry, and strong organizational skills to manage multiple accounts and priorities.
Ability to work in a target-driven environment, maintain composure under pressure, and collaborate effectively with team members.
Willingness to work on-site in Chennai and flexibly align with business hours or shift requirements.
Prior experience in AR calling, collections, or customer service in a healthcare or BPO setting is preferred but not mandatory.
Minimum educational qualification: completed secondary education; a diploma or bachelor’s degree in any discipline is an advantage.
