Role Description The Backend Developer Intern (Django) will contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of backend services and APIs that power web applications. This internship role is remote and involves working with Django to build and optimize server-side logic, integrate databases, and ensure secure and efficient data handling. Day-to-day tasks include writing clean and reusable code, debugging and resolving backend issues, collaborating with front-end developers to create seamless integrations, and assisting in testing and documentation of backend features. The intern will also participate in code reviews, follow best practices in software development, and support the team in implementing new features and improvements.
Qualifications
Strong foundation in Back-End Web Development and Software Development, with practical exposure to Django or similar frameworks.
Solid understanding of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP) and general Programming principles.
Basic familiarity with Front-End Development concepts to facilitate collaboration with front-end teams.
Knowledge of relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL) and RESTful API design is beneficial.
Ability to write clean, maintainable code, follow version control practices (e.g., Git), and document work clearly.
Effective communication skills, willingness to learn, and ability to work independently in a remote environment.
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree or training in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
